The MUSA Fabric was an answered prayer of a Certified Public Accountant/Fashion Designer, Ms. Joy Soo of Davao del Norte who was looking for a fabric to be used during the Philippine Gala 2020. The province of Davao del Norte through the Department of Trade and Industry has already conducted training for fabric weaving using the banana and abaca fiber, in the 3rd quarter of 2019. They assisted Ms. Soo in the weaving of the fabric which was first done in Davao del Norte Provincial Jail.
